I’m Andrea Reyes, your Pro Beauty Writer. Here’s a bit about me!
I am a Top Rated freelance writer, meticulous editor, and professional SEO nerd. I’ve been working in the beauty industry in some capacity for 15+ years, and have been writing for 10 of those years.
My obsession with all things beauty started with hair.
From as young as 10 years old, I cared for and styled my sisters’, cousins’, and family friends’ hair. As a pre-teen, I began working as a hair stylist assistant at a local beauty shop in Chicago, IL.
My studies eventually interfered with my ability to continue working there, but my love for beauty never fizzled out.
Throughout my high school and college years, I dabbled in hair care and styling, makeup, modeling, and…wait for it…WRITING!
Whenever I got a break from my college coursework, I wrote beauty-focused articles for blog creators and small businesses.
My clients were thrilled!
After graduating from college with a Bachelor's degree in business, I went against my heart and worked for corporate healthcare companies.
But I didn’t abandon my heart completely. While working for these companies, I wrote on the side for businesses - it was the highlight of every day. I also took specialized writing courses to learn all I could about driving organic traffic to websites via content marketing and search engine optimization (SEO).
After gaining a wealth of SEO knowledge, I became an SEO specialist.
Eventually, I abandoned the corporate grind and went to work for myself full-time as a freelance writer, editor, and SEO specialist.
It was the best decision I ever made for myself and my clients!
For several years now, I’ve been writing persuasive and engaging beauty blogs, website copy, and product descriptions for businesses and blogs of all sizes.
